Did you ever identify this bird? I spent quite a bit of time when you first posted it in your blog, but failed to find the answer. It could be junvenile plummage which makes it harder to match up with descriptions on the web, which usually refer only to the adults. From the beak, it seems to be a kind of crow - it's definitely not an eagle's beak.

Hmm.. nope, I wouldn't know how to describe it to a bird watcher, even. :D But this bird is certainly not one you'd see everyday here in Malaysia. It was bigger than a crow, though.
